The foundation of a solid content marketing campaign is entertaining and useful content.
Considering I work with some of the brightest people I’ve ever met, creating useful content for my company isn’t difficult – their brains are a gold mine of information.
Sometimes translating that information in an entertaining way, however, isn’t the easiest task.
To remedy this, I’ve been focusing on fun culture pieces that not only emphasize what we know but who we are.
My latest project focuses on showcasing my company’s internal geekiness with an infographic in celebration of Geek Pride Day. Considering its length and depth, I think we’ve effectively translated just how geeky our team can get.
Of course, in the coming weeks I’ll be carefully evaluating its success – its reach, its effect on local brand recognition, website traffic, link juice contributions and piece longevity. If it achieves our content marketing goals, great, we’ll try it again. If it doesn’t, we’ll try something else.
